CONSTRUCTION PERMIT

Is a process that will enable you obtain Development Permission from the County Government. The process is in two (2) categories:
a) Single Dwellings - take 7days maximum to determine
b) Other classes of Developments (flats, commercial, industrial, institutional, religious, multi family dwellings etc) takes 21days maximum to determine

For SINGLE DWELLINGS: You require to hire services of a registered and practicing ARCHITECT and has an active account with the County Government and/or a registered and practicing  Structural Engineer with an active account with the County Government. The requirements shall include:
copy of ownership documents e.g title deed, lease title, current search (not more than 30 days), survey plan or RIM, current rates payment receipt (visit subcounty finance department for this), architectural plans  (showing detailed site plan, floor plans, elevations, cross sections etc), connections to sewer/ septic tank/bio-digestor, etc
- the architect will submit the preferred application online

For OTHER CLASSES OF DEVELOPMEMTS: You require to hire services of a registered and practicing ARCHITECT and has an active account with the County Government and/or a registered and practicing  Structural Engineer with an active account with the County Government. NB: Both the architect and developer will receive frequent sms notifications at specific phases of processing (ensure you enter working phone numbers during submission).
